Understanding where time goes is the first step to improving productivity. iTasks lets every team member log time directly on the tasks they work on. Whether you spent 30 minutes fixing a bug or 4 hours building a feature, add a time entry with an optional comment describing what was done — and iTasks tracks it all.

Time entries are incremental by design. Add entries throughout the day, across multiple sessions, and iTasks automatically sums everything into an accurate total. No need to remember exact start and stop times — just log what you did when it is convenient. This approach fits real work patterns where tasks are interrupted, resumed, and worked on across days.

Hourly Rates

Time data becomes truly powerful when connected to cost. iTasks lets you set a base hourly rate for each team member at the workspace level. A senior developer might have a different rate than a junior QA engineer — and that is perfectly handled. Rates are applied automatically when generating payment reports.

Need different rates for different projects? iTasks supports per-project rate overrides. Set a base rate at the workspace level, then override it for specific projects where the budget or pricing differs. For example, a developer might bill $50/hr on internal work but $75/hr on a rush client project — just set the project-level rate and iTasks handles the rest. This two-level rate system (workspace → project) gives you precise cost tracking across diverse billing scenarios.

Payment Reports

At the end of a pay period, you need clear numbers. iTasks's payment reports combine tracked hours and hourly rates to produce a summary per team member — total hours worked, the applied rate (including any project-level overrides), and the calculated amount. These reports are ready for payroll processing or client invoicing without any manual spreadsheet work.

Reports give you a transparent view of how time translates to cost across your team. Use them to verify contractor invoices, prepare internal cost breakdowns, or simply understand your project's labor budget. All data comes directly from actual time entries on real tasks — no guesswork, no estimates, just tracked hours.

Monthly Statistics

Beyond individual payments, iTasks provides monthly statistics that help you understand your team's velocity and efficiency. Track key metrics like total completed tasks, average time from creation to testing, average time to completion, and total hours logged — all in one dashboard view.

Statistics are broken down by project and by team member, so you can spot bottlenecks, identify overloaded assignees, and compare workload distribution. Filter by month to track trends over time. Are tasks taking longer to reach testing this month? Is one project consuming a disproportionate share of hours? The data is right there, helping you make informed decisions.
