Search
How to search tasks by text, jump to the right result quickly, and use search as a fast entry point into your daily work.
Search
Search helps you find a task by title, description, or comments and open it without manually browsing the list, Kanban board, or project tree.
1. Start Searching
Open Menu → Search. Enter at least two characters. Results refresh automatically after you type, so there is no separate submit button.
2. Search Scope
Regular search looks through active tasks and does not mix them with backlog items. To search only future ideas and deferred work, open search from Backlog.
3. Results
Each result shows the title, project, assignee, date, and a highlighted matching fragment. If the match is in the description, iTasks shows a short text excerpt. Selecting a result opens the task card.
4. Search in Comments
Turn on Search in comments when the useful information was captured in a discussion: an engineer note, a verification exchange, or a follow-up after a bench run. Comment matches include a comment icon next to the excerpt.

Comments and mentions are covered in Comments and Mentions. General task view modes are in Task Views, and task-card fields are described in Task Card and Status.
