A workspace starts with 4 default task types. Owners and admins can change their names and icons and add up to 2 extra types, for a total of 6.
The four default types are Feature, Bug, Improvement, and Tech. For example, you can rename Feature to “Initiative” and use extra types for research and reviews.
1. Where to open task type settings
Open the app menu and select “Task types”. These settings apply to the current workspace.
2. Change a name and icon
Edit a type’s name. Tap its icon and choose another from the catalog.
Tap “Save” to apply the changes.
3. Add custom task types
Tap “Add type”, enter a name, and choose an icon. You can add one more type; every extra type needs a name.
Tap “Save” to apply the changes.

4. Restore the default settings
The four default types cannot be deleted. “Defaults” restores their original names and icons and removes the extra types from the available selection. Then tap “Save”.
