Subscription, Plans, and Limits
FREE, PRO, and read-only mode, workspace limits, card payment in the website account or Telegram Stars in the app, and what happens after expiration.
In iTasks, a subscription is applied to a specific workspace. If one owner has several workspaces, each workspace has its own plan status: FREE, PRO, or Read only.
PRO can be paid in two ways: inside the app with Telegram Stars, or by bank card in the website user account. Inside the Telegram Mini App, payment is available only through Telegram Stars because Telegram requires that for digital purchases made inside the app.
The Telegram Stars subscription is fixed at 499 ⭐ per month. Telegram does not allow choosing a period longer than one month inside the app. Card payment supports three periods: $9.99 for 1 month, $49.95 for 6 months, and $99.90 for 12 months. The half-year period costs the same as 5 monthly payments, and the annual period costs the same as 10 monthly payments: this is a 1-month and 2-month discount respectively. Details are covered on PRO Payment Methods and in User Account and Card Payment.
In short: one active workspace is available for free with FREE limits: 3 members, 1 project, 1 HelpDesk channel, and 100 MB of files. If PRO expires and the first workspace exceeds those limits, it becomes Read only until the owner activates PRO or removes extra resources. Additional workspaces owned by the same user stay in Read only mode until PRO is activated for them.
1. Where to open billing
Open the app menu, go to Administration, and select Subscription. The page shows the current workspace status, project and member limits, a separate current subscription block when PRO is active, the PRO subscription block or the mobile app information block, and payment history. Subscription actions and payment history are available to the workspace owner.
2. FREE, PRO, and read-only limits
| Mode | What is available | Main limits |
|---|---|---|
| FREE | The owner's first active workspace without payment. | 1 project, up to 3 members, 1 HelpDesk channel, 100 MB of file storage. |
| PRO | Full workspace usage with expanded limits. | Unlimited projects, up to 50 members, up to 50 HelpDesk channels, 5 GB of file storage, workspace AI access. |
| Read only | Data is visible, but creating and changing working entities is blocked until PRO is active or the workspace is back within Free limits. | Viewing and JSON export remain available to the owner; the owner can activate PRO or remove extra projects, members, and HelpDesk channels. |
For switching between several workspaces, use Selecting and Switching Workspaces.
3. How to activate PRO
On the in-app subscription page, the workspace owner can activate PRO with Telegram Stars. Press the subscription button, confirm the Telegram invoice, and wait for the workspace status to update. The subscription is activated after Telegram confirms a successful payment.
If you need to pay by bank card, use the website user account. Details are moved to the separate guide: User Account and Card Payment.
In Telegram Mini App, the main subscription block shows PRO activation through Telegram Stars. Below it, a neutral “Billing information” block explains that payment for the iTasks digital subscription in Telegram is processed through Telegram Stars, and that information about plans, subscription periods, invoices, documents, and billing support is available on the official iTasks website.
In Android and iOS apps, the subscription page does not show payment buttons or active links. If there is no active subscription, the subscription action block is replaced with informational text: information about account, invoices, documents, and support requests is available in the iTasks account on the website. For access or billing questions, contact iTasks technical support. If PRO is already active, a separate current subscription block shows the expiration date.
In Telegram, payment for the iTasks digital subscription is processed through Telegram Stars. Information about plans, subscription periods, invoices, documents, and billing support is available on the official iTasks website.
4. Payment history and auto-renewal
After a successful payment, the current subscription block shows the date until which PRO is active. The owner receives Telegram and Push notifications about payment, cancellation, or refund events; the message includes the workspace, paid period, and payment method without the amount. iTasks shows the owner's payment history for this workspace: amount, period, status, payment provider, and transaction id.
In the website user account, the owner will be able to review all owned workspaces, the current subscription, and transaction history. Bank-card payment details are moved to the separate user account guide.
An active subscription can be canceled in the user account: next to the workspace, press Cancel subscription, review the current characteristics, and confirm. Cancellation disables auto-renewal with the current provider — bank card or Telegram Stars — but the already paid PRO period stays active until the shown date. The subscription can be resumed before that period ends.
Payment refunds and subscription cancellations are handled as separate events. A refund changes the status of the specific payment in history, while the workspace plan changes only from subscription events: cancellation, expiration, renewal failure, or a new successful payment.
5. What happens if the subscription expires
If the PRO subscription is not renewed, iTasks does not automatically delete workspace data for 90 days. The owner's first workspace falls back to FREE limits. If it has more than 1 project, more than 3 members, or more than 1 active/draft/error HelpDesk channel, the workspace becomes Read only. The banner shows how many extra projects, members, and channels must be removed to return to Free. Additional workspaces move to Read only mode until PRO is restored.
In read-only mode, data can still be viewed and the workspace can still be exported as JSON regardless of subscription status. If the reason is Free-limit overage, the owner can also remove a member or project, and disable or delete a HelpDesk channel. Other working actions stay blocked until PRO is active again or the workspace is cleaned up back to Free limits.
If the owner no longer wants to use the system, download the JSON export before manually deleting the workspace. Export and deletion details are covered in Workspace Settings.
