Account and Data Deletion

1. Introduction
The iTasks application provides ways to delete your account, personal data, and data in workspaces you own.
Account deletion, personal data deletion, and deletion of owned workspaces and their data are available in the app. Support is needed only if you have questions or experience technical difficulties.
2. How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account, personal data, and data in workspaces you own yourself in the app:
Delete a workspace in the app
- Open Telegram and search for the @iTasksBot bot.
- Launch the iTasks Mini App.
- Go to your workspace settings (gear icon or 'Settings').
- Scroll down to the 'Danger Zone' and select 'Delete Workspace'.
- Confirm the action. Projects, tasks, comments, files, HelpDesk channels, conversations, messages, and other data in that workspace will be permanently deleted.
Delete your account in the app
- Open iTasks in the Telegram Mini App, web interface, or Android app.
- Go to Profile.
- Open the Account deletion section.
- Review which data will be deleted and confirm account deletion.
- After confirmation, your profile, personal data, and account-related data are permanently deleted subject to the retention rules below.
If you cannot delete your account yourself, contact support using the details at the end of this page and include your Telegram User ID or username.
3. What Data is Deleted
When an account or a workspace you own is deleted, iTasks removes:
- Your iTasks profile, linked Telegram identifiers, and Android push tokens
- All projects and tasks (names, descriptions, statuses)
- Comments and discussions in tasks
- Attachments (images, documents, etc.)
- Time tracking logs and statistics
- HelpDesk channels, conversations, messages, internal notes, attachments, and connections to support bots
- AI Access settings and workspace tokens if the relevant workspace is deleted
If you were a member of a workspace owned by another user or organization, some content you created may remain as workspace data. In that case, deletion of the entire workspace or related records is handled by the workspace owner or by support after verifying the relevant rights.
4. What We Retain
After account deletion is complete, we do not retain an active iTasks profile, Telegram ID, name, username, or Android push token as data of an active account.
Exceptions include financial transaction records (for example, PRO plan purchases through a payment provider), information that must be temporarily retained for security, abuse investigation, or legal compliance, and server backups until their scheduled overwrite. These records do not contain your workspace content beyond what is necessary.
5. Retention Periods
We adhere to a data minimization policy:
- Workspace deletion: workspace data is deleted after deletion is confirmed in the app interface.
- Inactive unpaid workspaces: if no workspace member has signed in or used the system for 180 days, iTasks warns the owner 14 days in advance and then automatically deletes only that workspace, all associated data, and files in storage. Any activity by any member before the deletion date cancels automatic deletion.
- Account deletion: account data is deleted after deletion is confirmed in the app interface.
- Users after automatic deletion: a user is deleted automatically only if no other workspaces remain after the inactive workspace is removed.
- Financial and required records: retained for the period needed for tax, accounting, legal, or anti-fraud purposes.
